As 2013 comes to a close Ford is poised to claim the title of America’s Best Selling Brand for the fourth straight year. Ford brought into December a lead of over 395,000 vehicles over second place Toyota. Going into this final month of the year Toyota had a marginal lead over third place Chevrolet of just over 12,000 vehicles. Honda and Nissan are a distant fourth and fifth respectively.
Ford has had a very strong year across all vehicle segments. The F-Series truck continues to lead the way as the best selling truck and best selling vehicle in America for over three decades. Ford Motor Company recently unveiled the 2014 Ford F150 Tremor. The Tremor will be the first Regular Cab Ford Truck to be equipped with the 3.5 Liter EcoBoost engine. Powered by the V6 EcoBoost engine the Tremor will provide V8 performance with the fuel economy of a V6. The new truck will be available later in the Fall of 2013.
The F150 Tremor will feature an aggressive appearance with 20-inch flat black wheels, bold graphics and badging, plus HID headlamps. The interior features brushed metal accents, floor shifter, red stitched steering wheel, leather seats with Alcantara suede inserts with color keyed piping. Inside and out the new 2014 Ford F150 Tremor is built to impress.
The heart of the F150 Tremor is the innovative 3.5 Liter Ti-VCT EcoBoost V6 engine. The EcoBoost punches out 365 horsepower at 5,000 RPM without the need for high octane fuel. Torque is the name of the game when it comes to power and the Tremor features 420 lb-ft of torque at 2,500 RPMs. The drivetrain offers up to 90% of the peak torque available from 1,700 to 5,000 RPMs. (more…)

The innovative Ford Atlas displays the future of design, fuel efficiency and intelligent technologies that could find their way into the next generation of Ford Trucks. The full size truck market is ultra competitive and even though the Ford F-Series has been the best selling truck in America for 36 years running, Ford is not resting on its laurels.
Ford Atlas Fuel Efficiency
The Ford Atlas Concept utilizes advanced fuel saving technologies to deliver more power and performance without sacrificing fuel economy. The Atlas offers an enhanced Auto Stop-Start technology that shuts off the engine when the truck is stopped in traffic unless the truck is towing in which case it suspends the feature. Some of the other fuel saving techniques include active grille shutters and active wheel shutters that improve the aerodynamics at highway speeds. An additional aerodynamic feature is the drop down front air dam that lowers at highway speeds to improve the under body air flow.
Ford Atlas Cargo Flexibility
The Ford Atlas Concept also includes some convenient features to help you get the most out of the trucks cargo and hauling capability. Expanding upon the Tailgate Step the new Atlas features a Dual Purpose Tailgate Step and Cargo Cradle. It functions much like the current tailgate step but also can be used to cradle a ladder safely and securely for transport. Another impressive feature built into the Atlas Concept are the hidden cargo ramps. These lightweight but durable ramps can be stored under the cargo box and quickly set up to help you load items like lawn mowers and four wheelers. (more…)
